Jenny and Jessey is a wonderful caring school in Kampala providing education and shelter in a loving environment to orphans and children from the local community.

Amanda and Helen have previously raised money to provide solar panels for the school, allowing them to be independent from the utilities company. They would now like your support to build an outdoor play area and learning environment for the children.

This play area will hopefully be made by local crafts people, therefore, supporting the local community.

In addition to the play area, Amanda and Helen hope to be able to provide the school with a chicken coop and several chickens. The eggs will be used to feed the pupils with any extra to sell to the local community.

Amanda and Helen's schools,  Radcliffe Junior and Dovecote Primary are continuing to support the Jenny and Jessey School. A combined team from the two schools have formed "The Ugandan Bright Sparks Team" These children will keep both schools up to date with the news from Uganda and will help to motivate fund raising events to reach our target of £2000 for the play area and the chicken project.

In October 2011 Amanda and Helen will be returning to Uganda to continue their work. They would like to stress that they will be funding this trip themselves and not using any donations for that purpose.

During this visit Amanda and Helen will  oversee the work on the out door play area project. They hope to do some teaching and staff training. They will also be visiting the two girls they have sponsored through school who now have a secure educational future. There are many more children at the school who need sponsors and so any money which is made over the target figure will go towards sponsoring the food, shelter and education of orphaned children at The Jenny and Jessey School.

Thank you so much

Love Amanda and Helen
