Story
Hello friend!
I am currently in puce-cheeked training for this visual and physical spectacular taking place along the tranquil turquoise trail of the Brighton seafront.
Basically I'll don my under-used, greying trainers, a shiny new white tee and attempt to run a solid sterling 5k. Not the most astonishing of distances, I know, but I am not a born pavement pounder. Adding to the arduous journey is the fact that all runners are pelted with powdered colour-bombs along the way, so I should end up looking like an explosion in an art store.
Which brings me nicely to my chosen charity, The Art Room. Based in Oxford but also working with school children in London, they offer creative, art-based therapy to all sorts of children who could benefit from it; raising self-esteem, increasing self-confidence and encouraging independence.
I know that colour and creativity has improved my life and I think it's important to offer vulnerable young people that golden ticket too.
Please sponsor me to get, hot, sweaty and totally, tie-dye, colour-bomb messy in Brighton on September 14th. The top donator will win my splattered tee (sure to be a work of art!) and the custom colour tassel earrings (or other beauteous thing) of their choice!
Right, I'm off for a run...
