Hi everyone!
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. Instead of limbering up for a night of dancing, on 12th July I'm planning on stretching my legs and swapping my dancing shoes for a pair of runners!
I thought my days of 10ks were over (2 attempts at breaking an hour have so far failed... ) but with Tom's loving support (no bullying I promise), I've decided to take up the gauntlet again and try to get under the 60 mins that I've been told allows one to be defined as a 'fit' and healthy human being. But joking aside, the real reason I've taken on this challenge is to raise money for Tom's NGO Project Harar Ethiopia. This charity does amazing work in Ethiopia helping children with severe facial disfigurements get the medical care they need. These children come from some of the most isolated areas of eastern Africa, can't afford to travel the long distances and often live 'hidden' existences, shunned by their families and communities.
Project Harar helps the children reach modern hospitals and arranges for specialists to carry out the operations, giving the children the chance of a healthier and happier life for as little as £300. To see more about their fantastic work and the children they help, please go to www.projectharar.co.uk
If you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
I am hoping to raise enough money to change the life of at least one child, so please sponsor me now.
Thank you for all the support!
Jenny
