Hiya - Thanks for visiting my London Triathlon 2009 page fundraising for the very worthwhile charity of the Brigitte Trust. As you will see from the attached photos, I have been training hard...
Come August I will be swimming 1500m in the London Docks, cycling 40km on the capital's roads and then running 10km (with very dead legs if last time is anything to go by!) I am getting ready for the hard slog - whenever I can with friends (including the Cannons Saturday spinning group) - and out and about anywhere that I can get my running shoes on! And since I find the running the hard part, I'm preparing with 10km running races in Regents Park and many races with Burnham Joggers, plus the British 10K and Milton Keynes Half Marathon. I have also entered some 'sprint' triathlons over the coming months to build up to the distance in Eton, Dorney and Henley (not too much sprinting for me I'm afraid!)
I know that times are hard at the moment, but if there is one charity that you are going to give to - I hope that it would be the Brigitte Trust. It supports people in the local community who are having the very hardest of times. And whatever you can spare makes a real difference for people who, right now, can't help themselves.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Brigitte Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please get your creditcard out and sponsor me now!
