Flora London Marathon 2003 · 13 April 2003 ·

We’re the 10 million people living with arthritis in the UK. The carers, researchers and healthcare professionals. The family, friends and fundraisers. United by a clear vision: a future free from arthritis. One in which no one is limited by the pain, fatigue and isolation that arthritis can cause.

Story

ARC spends over £15m pa on 350 projects researching ways of combatting the 200 different types of Arthritis and related conditions. Last year arthritis affected 9 million people in the UK including 1 in 1000 children, and represented 20% of all GP visits.

I was particularly struck by the horrific way arthritis can affect children when my son was afflicted with reactive arthritis a couple of years ago. Although he only suffered the effects for 3 months, the use and understanding of better drug therapy could have avoided 2 operations, several weeks in a wheel chair and a lot of pain.

Please sponsor me online. It is the most efficient way to raise money as the tax credit is claimed automatically.

Many thanks

Jeremy.
