Running for Retrak last year!
About my charity : RETRAK RETRAK
RETRAK aims to offer street children a permanent, locally relevant alternative to life on the streets and to enable them to take their future into their own hands. A team of professionally run social work organizations, the RETRAK projects, work closely together to build and strengthen models of excellence, increase local capacity and speak out for the rights of street children.

My personal message:

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Sadly, while training on Wednesday 5th March for the Fleet Half Marathon 2008, I fell and injured myself.  I will now not be able to run on the 16th March as planned.

For those who have already sponsored me online - your money has already gone to RETRAK and is being used to help street children in Africa.  I trust that you will not feel cheated by my inability to run on the day.

This would have been my fourth consecutive year of running the Fleet Half Marathon on behalf of RETRAK.  Over the past three years your generosity has helped raise around £2,500 - that is before adding any that we have raised together this year.

Last Summer I met the International Director of RETRAK when he was in the UK and a friend visited their project in Uganda - so we can see that your money is being put to excellent use.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: RETRAK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support.

Jim
