Hello
Thanks a lot for visiting this appeal website, where you can quickly make a donation to help me reach the £5000 I want to raise in the 2006 London Marathon.
I'm raising money for WWF, an organisation I'm proud to work for in Northern Ireland, and one which works so effectively in over 90 countries to protect the environment on which people and wildlife depend. I'll also be donating a chunk of the money I raise to Oxfam. All these years after leaving Africa, it still means a lot to me, and both Oxfam and WWF undertake projects which really make a difference to people's lives there. I've got a long winter's slog ahead of me. I'm up to 11 miles in training but that means I've still got fifteen to add. I'll update this page from time to time, so come back and check how I'm doing in a month or so! But if the training is hard, the fundraising is even harder. So please get out your plastic and make a generous donation to make everything just that little bit easier. I'll be very grateful. If you're a UK taxpayer, don't forget to tick the 'Gift Aid' box, which will increase your donation by almost a third, with the extra dosh coming from the government. Hurrah! With my thanks Jim
