My story

 
Hi friends. Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Afghanaid gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation. I completed the Royal Parks Half Marathon on 12 October in 2 hrs 11 mins. It was grueling at times but well worth it. I had not run in the sunshine before as my training had been on a treadmill in Kabul, or in Kent rainy, cold conditions. At miles 8-10 I wasn't sure I was going to make it but refused to stop running, even when it felt like it might be quicker to walk! I thought frequently of the cause and my sponsorship, and it motivated and encouraged me hugely. If you haven't sponsored me already, It is not too late and you can do so on this page.
