Dear friends, acquaintances, people I have met in the street, people I have never met, PEBBLES ON THE BEACH is a play which I have been developing over the past 12 months with a fantastic company of actors and Tim Hughes, artistic director of Weaver Hughes Ensemble. We’ve had some work-in-progress showings at Theatre503, which have been extremely well-received, and will be doing two nights of the show there before taking it to the Pleasance Cavern in Edinburgh. The only problem is we have to raise £5k to put the play on, which will cover the cost of the venue, production team, set, marketing, rehearsal space, artists’ fees… the list goes on! This'll be the first time an original script of mine will have been performed at the Edinburgh Fringe, I’m working with a brilliant and exciting company, and I want to ensure that the production lives up to its potential for all involved.
