In these extraordinary times for Wall Street, Threadneedle Street and Main Street, business restructuring and insolvency professionals have been called on to undertake many different assignments and to review a wide range of undertakings at short or notice. These have ranged from companies to banking systems and even entire countries. It is thus perhaps unsurprising that the increased sense of adventure and challenges facing us in our day to day professional lives as restructuring professionals has rubbed off on some of our out of office activities.
Joe Bannister and Dan Schwarzmann have therefore resolved that enough is enough and they will be jumping off the side of a building. We will be abseiling off the 12 floor of the Lovells offices, Atlantic House, Holborn Viaduct, London on Monday 26 October at 14:30. We are doing this for a very good cause, to raise money for ORBIS
. Orbis is dedicated to preventing people from becoming needlessly blind through the provision of appropriate treatment and training. Orbis do this work through the global provision of cataract and other eye health procedures. Since 1982, the Orbis flying eye hospital has conducted eye health treatment and training programmes in more than 75 countries. We therefore hope that you will feel able to sponsor us for doing so.
Many thanks for your generosity. We shall do our utmost to ensure that we do not in fact "end it all" through the application of Newton's law of gravity but in true insolvency sale style, no warranties or assurances are given on this matter.
If you do wish to donate, then please can you do so through our JustGiving page. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they will pass your donation to Orbis and they will make sure that Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Many thanks in advance!
