My story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

I'm really looking forward to take part in '70 Wild Miles'. It is a fantastic event and one I have wanted to do for several years. Finally, I have a chance to do so. The route is amazing - riding through the highlands, paddling up Loch Etive and a 'wee trail run' back to the finish.

See event details here -

Although I've never been a huge fan of sponsored walks/runs/rides (mainly since doing 20x laps of Shrewsbury park when I was supposed to do only five as a school fund raiser and got in serious trouble with my sponsors and my mum!) this one deserves our support. Whilst completion, hopefully, isn't in doubt, please support this worthwhile event and charity; all of us will know someone effected by cancer.

I'm also enjoy a bit of 'me time' by actually taking part in some events; I enjoy staging events and I am pround of those I have founded such as Haweswater Half Marathon and The Great Lakeland 3Day Mountain Trail. I'd like to think some of my friends and team mates, or NAV+art clients and buddies will support me.

Donating through Justgiving is so quick, easy and totally secure. It was really easy setting this up (... and I'm an IT numpty as many of you will know!)  It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: CLIC Sargent gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

I've starting the ball rolling with a donation from Dockray-Hartside fell race funds. So please sponsor me. Every little helps ....

I've also got a blog at www.joefaulkner.blogspot.com which I hope to up date with news and progress.

Many thanks - Joe
