Northern Ireland Hospice Care provides a special way of caring for adults and children with life threatening and life limiting illnesses. A range of medical, social, spiritual and emotional care services (both in hospice and at home) are tailored to the needs of each patient and provided to ensure the best quality of life for the patient and their family.

My personal message:

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

To mark my 50th birthday I am running my first full marathon ( 26.2 miles) at the  Belfast City Marathon on May 5th this year. My objective is to raise as much as I can for the NI Childrens Hospice . The purpose of this mail is to ask friends to help me achive this goal. The more sponsors I get the more it helps motivate me in my training but more importantly the more money will be donated to our local Children's Hospice.


Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Northern Ireland Hospice Care will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me preferably using this on-line system or alternatively via cash or cheque made payable to "NI Hospice Care". Every donation no matter how small will be much appreciated.

PS - Update 5th May 2008 - I completed the 26.2 miles in 3hrs 54 mins - a fantastic experience! Thanks again to all of you who sponsored me in aid of the Childrens Hospice - your generosity and encouragement helped me reach my goal, without this I could not have done it. Cheers, Joe
