An update on England v Scotland 5 a side tournament-- http://englandvscotland.webeden.co.uk/ please follow link to see what happened on this wonderful day.

An update on the Leeds 10k 24th of June which is when myself and Neil Rogers ran cancer out of town in memory of a friend Dan Pringle...

my name is Paul Wallace and I'm Joe's youngest son of four lads.

Welcome to the Joe Wallace breath of life fund which has been set up in the memory of my dad Joe Wallace who sadly passed away on the 20th of June 2005 after suffering from Mesothelioma.

Joe as many young lads from Sunderland and all over the northeast started work in heavy industry in the fifties, he worked in several ship yards along the tyne and wear as did the rest of his family. Joe left the yards in the eighties and never really looked back until the past came to haunt him.

Joe was a fit 66 year old in the September of 2004 when he retired, in-fact he was that fit he had worked an extra year but from there he started to get a little short of breath. From the September till February 2005 he had many tests and was finally diagnosed with mesothelioma. By the June of the same year Joe had past away leaving a wife, 4 children, several grandchildrenorth Run-- 30th September

- one here after his death and now one grandchild on the way he’ll never meet.

My mission

My aim is to make people aware of mesothelioma, the effects, and the support available and to raise as much money as possible to put into research into the disease.

This disease lives on when many of our loved ones have past away, together we can give people the hope, and support and maybe even one day find a cure.

Someone dies every five hours from mesothelioma in the UK
There are 33% more deaths from mesothelioma than from cervical cancer
There will be over a million deaths in western Europe by 2035
100,000 people alive today will die with mesothelioma

I may have already lost my dad but if in any way I can help someone else I will  and that is my motivation!!
