Reason why we Ran
My son Luke was diagnosed with a serious liver condition (biliary atresia) when he was born in July 2000, with the fantastic help from Kings Hospital in London and the Children's Liver Foundation we are now very pleased to say that Luke is recovering - slowly but surely.
In a bid to raise an audacious amount of cash for the Children's Liver Foundation I have registered to run the Reading Half Marathon. So please dust off your wallets and register a donation to help support the continuation of the Children's Liver Foundations amazing work in liver research.
On Friday 17th March 2006 my friend and former work colleague Paul O Boyle agreed to go one step further by also registering to run the half marathon with me. Thank you Paul and welcome to the team! all two of us!! If any one else wants to join the team then it's not too late to do so.
Please visit this web page again shortly after 9th April to find out how much money we have managed to raise for this well deserved charity.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Children's Liver Disease Foundation will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Want to know more about biliary atresia then please click to the following web site: http://www.classkids.org/library/biliaryatresia.htm
On behalf of Rachel, Nikita, Luke, Paul and myself we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support!!
Best regards
Jofi
