My personal message:

I've trained hard, am fighting fit and raring to go and pound all 26.2 miles of the London Marathon!!!  I would be so grateful if you could sponsor me.

 I am running for a small volunteer-led charity called Kids Kidney Research which is special to me as one of my pupils suffered from kidney problems when she was a toddler.  Happily she is better now, unlike so many of the other babies and children with acute kidney and bladder problems.  Kidney disease affects as many as one in ten adults and many of these diseases are thought to start in childhood, which is why Kids Kidney Research funds this vital research!
