As many of you know, i like running. Not just around the block but distance running.  Since completing my first half marathon at Silverstone in March 2011, i've completed every distance from 5k to 50 miles.

My next big target is to complete the Thames Path 100 - a 100 mile non stop ultra run from London to Oxford. As this takes place in May 2014 i thought i would take on the London Marathon as part of my training.  

I've never really run for a charity before but this time, to give me an added incentive to complete the TP 100, i started looking for a good cause to run for.

As a Police officer i was already aware of the great work Crime stoppers do - As a result of information passed to Crimestoppers...

• One person every ten days is charged with murder
  
• During 2012-13 over £65 million worth of illegal drugs were taken off the streets
• Around 20 people are arrested every day as a result of information passed to Crimestoppers
