Story
Hello everyone, I thought I had better let you know the latest news…… I have unfortunately succumbed to an injury in my preparation for the London Marathon, a stress fracture on my right leg, which the Doctors advise me not to run on for at least 6 weeks!! This of course takes me past the date for the London Marathon and therefore means I will be unable to compete this year…… [sobbing quietly into my pillow after all the preparation].
BUT..... I have decided that as an alternative to running the Marathon I will, in June this year, walk the coast of Cornwall from Plymouth all the way around Lands End up to the Devon border just beyond Bude in one go, just me and my sometimes faithful dog Gus. After a little research it seems to be just short of 300 miles of very rugged coast path which I am sure will be wonderfully scenic and no doubt very wet!
Anyway, if you are still happy to donate to this worthy charity even though the event has changed, although this seems no less of a challenge for your hard earned money, please do carry on and give your details.
Just to remind you the charity is Front Line Emergency Equipment Trust (F.L.E.E.T.) which aims to raise money to improve the equipment on our front line ambulances to enable the Paramedics, and other front line staff, to give the best possible aid to our patients and improve their outcomes prior to arrival at hospital.
So please...please....please dig deep.
Many thanks
John
