Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
I am walking 1500km on the long-established pilgrim route from Le Puy-en-Velay (France) to Santiago de Compostela (Spain) in three stages. In May/June, I walked from Le Puy to Figeac (270 km) to test my capacities - at 73 years of age I thought this necessary! The remaining 1300 km, the object of this challenge, is being done in two stages: (1) Figeac to Pamplona, Spain, which I completed October 11 - November 6, walking 550 km (330 miles), and (2) Pamplona - Santiago from where I started again March 8, 2009, to complete the further 710 km (425 miles) to Santiago.
I arrived in Santiago Sunday, April 5, 2009, after 29 days walking in glorious weather all the way from Pamplona!
