My story

Hi ,

Thanks for visiting the web site and thanks if you have made a donation. I am  making  a Skydiving  trip around the world and one reason for that trip is to raise money for NACC and awareness of Colitis and Crohns disease.
Ulcerative Colitis came into my life when I was 26, it’s a disease there is no cure for at the moment and the cause is not known. It can turn into cancer and unfortunately it did four years ago. The disease certainly changed my life. Another thing that changed my life was parachuting, only this has been for the good, I have met some wonderful people (you know who you are) and overcome some challenges and had a great time. So now I am going to combine the two (to get my own back if you like). I am making a trip around the world and visiting as many Drop Zones as I can, in doing so I want to raise money for NACC, the National Association for Colitis and Crohn’s disease. It’s not one of the better known charities but a very worth while cause. So thanks for visiting the web site, hope you will make a donation – it goes directly to the charity and they even get the tax back from good old Mr Brown and Co.

My trip has now ended. I returned home to the UK on the 12th September. Combined with the first two stages of my journey I have now been to Ireland (North and South), Spain, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand (North and South Islands), Brazil, the USA and fianlly Canada. I have been to 22 Drop Zones and completed 125 jumps. I have done over 1 million feet in freefall and  1.4 million feet in total descents. I have been able to raise awareness of Colitis and Crohns disease and NACC through local press and radio coverage in many of the places visiited. BBC5Live have broadcast three interviews during the course of my trip around the world. It has been an incredable  experience and I have met some wonderful  people along the way.

Please have a look at my blog, its regularly updated and there are lots of pictures taken during my journey www.roundtheworldskydive.blogspot.com
