Earlier today, Sunday April 13th, I undertook one of the most rewarding challenges of my life - running the Flora London Marathon. For the record I managed to run the whole 26.2 miles finishing with a time of 3 hours and 56 minutes.

All the hard work over the last 12 weeks leading up to today has been worth it as I was raising much needed funding for "Christian Aid" a fabulous charity that I've been a supporter of for many years.

Many thanks to all of you who have already sponsored me - the support has been fantastic but if you didn't manage to earlier then there is still some time to help push the total up further - I'd like now to get to £3500.

Just think - £10 could buy a disaster survival kit for a family who have been flooded e.g. in Bangladesh, providing food, matches, oil, blankets and cooking utensils.

Just think - £20 could buy a resettlement pack containing maize, beans, pans, plates, an axe and a hoe - essentials to help farmers rebuild their livelihoods e.g in Angola where the civil war had lasted almost 30 years.
