AFK is a disability and neurodiversity charity providing support to children and young people across the UK. We assist young people in accessing specialised mobility equipment that isn't available on the NHS and routes to paid employment in an effort to close the disability employment gap.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

I am running the Flora London Marathon on April 26th. I'm aiming for a time under 3 hours 45 mins. I'm currently running 4 times a week and in total I hope to run more than 600km before the big day, including two half marathons and two twenty-mile runs. Race times:

Berkhamsted 1/2 marathon (1 Mar) - 1:38:32

Finchley 20 miles (15 Mar) - 2:39:54

Reading 1/2 marathon (29 Mar) - 1:35:36

Kingston 16 miles (5 Apr) - DNF (knee, physio now says I am okay to run though)

Flora London marathon (26 Apr) - 3:47:59

Action For Kids is a great charity helping disabled children and their families. They are a small charity and support like this is vital for them to continue to help children and young people with physical and learning disabilities to become more independent. Unlike some larger charities, just 3p in every £1 is spent on administration.

With Gift Aid, donating £1 means almost £1.25 goes to charity. In a time of plummeting house prices and 0% interest rates where else can you get a return like that?

So please sponsor me now!
