My story

 

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

OK so Cycle Cuba is only weeks away now and I'm gutted to announce that I am unable to take on the challenge.  I have tendonitis in my thigh which means I cannot train for more than an hour without pain.  I'm waiting for a physiotherapy appointment and hopefully that will sort things out but it has meant my training has had to stop completely.

But all is not lost!  I still intend to earn every penny sponsored by completing a Trek across the Great Wall of China.  This takes place in September next year so I have plenty of time get my leg rested and up to the new challenge.

Thank you for helping me to reach my target and I hope you do not feel that I have let you down.

 

Background.

As many of your will know, my dad, Joe Jagger was diagnosed with lung cancer in March of last year and lost his battle in October 2008.  Having lost several members of his family to cancer, it was what he feared most.

Part of his treatment was at the superb Yorkshire Cancer Centre at St. James Hospital in Leeds.  Hopefully ,one day, The Yorkshire Cancer Centre will help to find a solution to stop this terrible disease that touches far too many people. 

So, anything you can donate, even just a couple of pounds and some words of encouragement really would be most appreciated and will help me to reach my target of £3000.
