I ran with my brother-in-law Dave, a very special man, who lost his 8 month old daughter to Mitochondrial Disease. It is a devestating disease that affects the powerhouse of each cell in your body. If the Mitochondria fail, then the cell fails, major organs fail and you die. There is no known cure. We are working with Guys and St Thomas' Hospital in London to try and change that.

Our knees are creaky, our tummies too fat, but little Lily is on our shoulders every step of the way. She shone all too briefly in our lives. I hope by getting involved in the Lily Foundation, you find she shines in your life too.
