This is the first time I'm supporting Action for Children (formerly NCH) and am doing so by participating in this years Byte Night event, where hundred's of IT professionals spend a night under the stars to raise awareness of Action for Children.

Byte Night started in 1998 with just 25 people sleeping under the stars managing to raise £25,000. This year Byte Night aim to have 250 people and are hoping to raise £325,000, so every penny will help!

Action for Children uses the money raised to support young people who are currently homeless or facing life after care by funding emergency shelter and helping develop vital independence skills and access employment and training opportunities.
