NEWS UPDATE - We Did It!!
Well, I'm really pleased to announce that the 3 Peaks Challenge has now been successfully completed. We hit the "finishing line" at Snowdon on Saturday 15th July at 4.49pm - 11 minutes inside the allotted 24 hours.
It was a close call but we got there in the end without any major mishaps and only a few blisters to show for our efforts.
What drove myself, John and Nigel (together with Evening Post reporter Charlie Walker) on to the finish was the incredible good will of everyone who has provided support and donations so far and the knowledge that the money we are raising is for such a worthwhile cause.
We will be creating a website soon with lots of pictures from the challenge itself and I'll be posting up a link here so you can all have a look.
Until then, you can see the Evening Post article on the completion of the Challenge at the following link: http://tinyurl.co.uk/boa0
Meanwhile, if you haven't sponsored us yet, there's still time even though the Challenge is done. If you want to donate through this website and keep that fundraising total climbing, we would all really appreciate it.
And once again, our enormous thanks to everyone who has been so generous and helpful so far.
Jon, John and Nigel

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
A bit about myself. I'm the Leader of Nottingham City Council and also the Ward Councillor for St Anns in Nottingham so I'm personally very close to the tragedy of Danielle's death and the aspirations of the Trust.
I am a keen walker and climber so when I accepted the challenge from the Lord Mayor of Nottingham, Cllr Des Wilson, to climb the three peaks I was delighted to do so.
It is a tough challenge and one that I have been wanting to tackle for several years so the Lord Mayor of Nottingham' challenge has given me the best possible reason for doing it and I hope that my effort will raise a lot of money for the Trust, so please sponsor me.
I'm also really pleased that Councillor John Taylor and Nigel Cooke have said they will join me in this challenge. John and Nigel are also keen walkers and climbers and should be well prepared for this "test of endurance" which lies ahead for the three of us. We are all really committed to the aims of the Danielle Beccan Trust and hope that, with your support, we can help the Trust in its fundraising efforts.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Nottingham Council for Voluntary Service will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support.
Jon, John and Nigel.
