Hi Family & Friends,
Well its that time of year again when i take to the road and run as fast as i can in the Great North Run along with the other 54000. This year i have invited my daughter Yazmin to join in and she will be running the kids marathon also. So we have a team effort this year, i will be aiming to beat my time of 1hr 39min this year and will certainly give it my best shot. I feel close to this event as it has been the start of a beautiful journey into the world of Charity & giving. I have since started a company called Follow your heart Productions which is producing events & awareness campaigns for various charities.
I have chose this Cancer charity because i feel that not enough effort is put into advising patients and helpers of what they can do to help beat and prevent Cancer. We are all capable of alot more if we are told certain basic principles like excercise ,diet & the power of positive thought.
In my experience with the disease i found when i took my father to the Bristol Cancer help centre which is the leading holistic retreat for Cancer patients it helped greatly. He was not so open to go at first as the world of holistic therapy was along way off from what he was used too, once there he found he gained so much from it and because of that it helped me greatly.
Cancer Active are leaders in getting this information out and it is a beautiful story how the charity was set up so please read there website for more info..
