It may sound crazy to some, but running the London marathon has always been a dream of mine.
While I'm realising my own dreams I thought I would help others with theirs.
When I was a child I found it frustrating when I had to stop playing lunch time games as I was short of breath. Sometimes that frustration turned into fear when the inhaler did nothing to ease my breathing. During the odd asthma attack I had to be taken to hospital to be rescued by specialized equipment.
Many have it a lot worse. Some poor people can't even get out of bed in the morning. Sadly asthma attacks can result in death for children and adults.
90% of asthma deaths are preventable. Asthma UK help sufferers with free support. They also spend £3 million each year on research to understand more about asthma, its causes and treatments.
I'd really appreciate your help - whether it's 20p, £2, £20 or £200!
Thanks for your support. Jono
