<p>I'm delighted that all three of my children enjoy good health, many families are not so lucky.&nbsp; I've therefore set out to raise &pound;1,000 for Great Ormond Street Hospital via The Towergate Charitable Foundation.</p> <p>On Sunday 18th September I will be running 13.1miles in the Great North Run.&nbsp; I'm not built for running (or speed) but am determined to make it irrespective of the time it takes!&nbsp;&nbsp;I hope you will be able to spare some cash to help spur me on.</p> <div class="tab-content"> <p>Great Ormond Street Hospital is one of the world&rsquo;s leading children&rsquo;s hospitals with the broadest range of dedicated, children&rsquo;s healthcare specialists under one roof in the UK. It is the largest centre in the UK for children with heart or brain problems and the largest centre in Europe for children with cancer. With the UCL Institute of Child Health, Great Ormond Street is also Europe&rsquo;s largest research centre dedicated to improving the health of children with severe or life-limiting diseases.</p> <p>Great Ormond Street Hospital Children&rsquo;s Charity raises money to enable Great Ormond Street Hospital to maintain its position as a world class centre of excellence in caring for its young patients and their families and to pioneer new treatments and cures for childhood illness. This is no small task - the charity needs to raise &pound;50million each year to help rebuild and refurbish the hospital, buy vital equipment and help fund pioneering research.
