Many thanks for your support.

It’s been a tough year for our little boy Joshua. He was diagnosed with a brain tumour in March. Fortunately we had the opportunity to go to Alder hay hospital. The surgeons and nursing staff were tremendous. They operated on him and removed the tumour, and helped our family though the toughest time imaginable, which we are eternally grateful.

While we were there we stayed at Mac house. It’s a fantastic facility in the grounds of the hospital. It has many families staying there while their little ones get better. Mac house lets families stay near their children. It’s helped over 12000 families, many from theIsland , though there darkest times. The staff and volunteers there were lovely to our family and made the time there a lot less stressful than it could have been.

While we were there we looked around the reception area at all the generous charitable donations that various families had given and decided that we wanted to do something to help. So to cut a long story short I'm running the London marathon in 2008. Anyone who knows me will probably be smiling now as I can just about run a bath never mind a marathon.

Seriously though this place only stays open due to generous donations so if you can donate something we’d be very grateful.
