My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The 'Journey for Jules' 2011 is in memory of my late Fiancee Julie Welsh, who in April 2010 moments after giving birth to our son Isaac suddenly passed away from an extremely rare condition known as Amneotic Fluid Embolism.

Myself ( Peter Brown ) and my best friend ( Colin Booth ) with a very organised support man/masseuse ( Babbage ) starting on sunday the 29th of May 2011 will be attempting to run from our home town in Long Eaton Nottingham to Julie's home town in Blyth Northumberland. the distance will be around 180 miles over a period of seven consecutive days ( which works out around seven marathons in seven days. ) and hopefully arrive in one piece on the 4th of June and have a celebration to Julie and a few well earned drinks too!!!

We have decided to dedicate this fundraising page to Barnardo's children charity, it was a charity Julie was passionate about and used to regulary donate too. Barnado's support children whatever the issue, from Orphaned children to foster care, to drug misuse or disability; sexual abuse to domestic violence; child poverty to homelessness; Barnardo’s believes in bringing out the best in every child.

Your support will mean the world to us, and make all those cold nights out pounding the streets feel worthwhie! Any donations no matter how big or small will make a real difference!!! so even if you only have a spare quid to donate it will help us reach our minimum target of £5000!!!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
