My story

 
As we are getting lazy in our old age, we, the J Stratmanns (oh yes - Joanna and Johannes Philipp Stratmann) have decided to run the Windsor Half Marathon on 27th September 2009.

We're aiming to do the 13.1 miles in a sub 2 hour time, so we're training hard and (kind of) living healthily in order to achieve this.

We will be running in aid of Vila Maninga, a small, amazing community in rural Mozambique that supports poor, vulnerable children and adults. We are hoping to raise funds to help cover the £16,000 needed to build more homes for the orphans and elderly people who regularly turn up at Vila looking for refuge, and to further support the community as it moves towards its goal of self-sustainability.

Everyone who works for the charity, including myself, does so on a voluntary basis, so over 99% of all donations go straight to the cause. So you will know exactly where all of your money is going.
