I've done it!
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
St Luke's Hospice is an independent charity reliant on donations from our community. They provide specialist Hospice Care to people in Harrow and North Brent. They care for people who suffer with serious progressive illnesses such as heart failure. St Luke's Hospice Care in addition to offering patients support also embraces families and friends sustaining them through the illness and into bereavement. On 19 June I’ll grab my handbag, lip gloss and MBT’s and will take part in St Luke's annual 9 miles Ladies’ Midnight Walk under the stars in the main streets of Harrow, Harrow Weald, Stanmore and Kingsbury. I look forward to it!
I moved to Kingsbury almost 2 years ago and have never raised cash for charity before. I started walking when there was a tube strike in 2007 September. Just for fun. Few months later my daily 11,2km walk to work and home didn’t seem to be enough so I added an extra hour morning exercise. I have never thought it is possible to get up at 5,00am! I need 4 hours to get to work by 9am. I must be mad!
Advantages of being physically active are plenty: no crowded public transport is needed, no flu caught from fellow passengers, losing weight, keeping fit and I can eat as much chocolate as I want:)
Elderly people have done so much for us, now it's time I did something for them. Please help me raising money for this cause.
I hope you and other people in the town and at work will sponsor me if they can. Even a few pounds will make a huge difference and mean St Luke’s Hospice can continue their invaluable work supporting patients and their families.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: St Luke's Hospice (Kenton Grange) gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
