My story

IN MEMORY OF JOAN - a dear sister and sister-in-law who died of ovarian cancer, Jan 2005.

Roy is running and I am walking from John O'Groats to Land's End (approx 915 miles) to create awareness of cancer and to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

Our appeal is 1c2c - one Coin to Curing Cancer. If everyone (young and old) donated £1.00 then a mammoth £60,000,000 would be raised for curing cancer.

1:3 of us will be diagnosed with cancer.

1:4 of us will die from cancer.

Frightening but true. Virtually every family will have someone, somewhere who gets cancer. If these figures were applied to any other disease then the Government and NHS would make huge efforts to reduce them, but it doesn't seem to happen for cancer.

Donate as much as you feel you can, all we ask is £1 for every family member.

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor 1c2c online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Cancer Research UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor 1c2c now! Spread the word about 1c2c today through email, text and word of mouth. For more information visit our website - 1c2c.org.

Many thanks for your support. Together we will beat cancer.
