I cannot prove conclusively that regular exercise seriously improves the symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease, but for me it has certainly been a tremendous advantage, as the above results show.
Introduction
Please support me in raising money for the Parkinson's Disease Society. I'm going to be running on an exciting ten mile journey through the heart of historic Portsmouth on 25th October 2009. To see how I got on in previous races, please visit www.justgiving.com/julianhoerder and www.justgiving.com/julianjuly12 Thank you.
I have had Parkinson's Disease for several years and need regular medication, without which I cannot walk normally. The timing of my pills is therefore very critical for my performance. Last year I needed to take some medication mid-race, without which I might not have been able to finish.
Would you like to learn more about P.D., and perhaps support people with Parkinson's in your area? Why not join your local branch of the Parkinson's Disease Society? Please visit www.parkinson's.org.uk for full details.
Although many months have gone by since I ran this race, this webpage is still open to receive any donations you may wish to give for Parkinson's. I am intending to run the same event again in October 2010 for the third year running.
You may now find me on Facebook as well. Thank you for visiting one of my Justgiving pages, Julian (March 2010)
