Dyslexia Action (Formerly the Dyslexia Institute) is a national charity and the UK’s leading provider of services and support for people with dyslexia and literacy difficulties. We specialise in assessment, teaching and training. We also develop and distribute teaching materials and undertake research. We are committed to improving public policy and practice. Our mission is to ensure that individuals with dyslexia are identified and educated to allow them to be successful.

My personal message:

Yes - your eyes are not deceiving you, I am running the Great British 10k run!

 

I have chosen a dyslexic charity because close friends and family, including myself, have benefited from the support of such dyslexic organisations and I want to help them to continue to offer assistance to both children and adults.  Every £55 earned will potentially pay for a free initial consultant for those who are unable to afford one, but money could also go towards research, teaching resources, equipment or helping to fund outreach programmes in schools across the country. 

 

Please sponsor me, whatever you can afford; it will spur me on to the finish line when my legs are giving up!
