Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I am going to Trek the Grand Canyon in May 2009 to raise funds for the Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children.
The Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children is a registered charity, which offers practical, emotional and financial support to children and young people up to and including the age of 21, who are living with cancer, and their families.
Two children are diagnosed with cancer every week in Northern Ireland, leaving two more families to cope with a level of devastation that is almost impossible for most of us to comprehend.
I have a huge challenge ahead - and have already started training for this. The trek is pretty hard going including trekking for up to 16 miles per day (uphill and in high temperatures) - but it's worth it. This is a charity very close to my heart and I hope that you will support me - every little helps.
I will be holding some events and doing bag packs in supermarkets and will keep you posted on my progress...... Wish me luck!!
I am also hoping to get a company in Northern Ireland to sponsor me - if you know of any that might be interested, please do let me know.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
