I did it! I managed to finish in 4 hours 38 minutes, despite slipping on a drain in the rain and having to walk for a mile or so to recover! I have never been so pleased to see a finishing line - it really was hard work. Knowing you had all sponsored me really kept me going when I wanted to give up. And a big thanks to anyone who managed to spot me on the way round to shout encouragement - you know who you are! It was all worth it for the cause for which I ran. The Agape Family Care Trust (www.agapefamilycare.co.uk) is a small charity based locally to me (in Hellingly, East Sussex) which is committed to building units to give day and long-term care to young adults with profound disabilities. They are currently fundraising to build a new unit and I pledged to raise at least £750 towards building and equipping it. If you haven't already sponsored me I would really appreciate it. I know I have done it now but I think it will take my feet at least a month to get over it so the suffering continues..... Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Agape Family Care Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Thank you so much for your support - it didn't snow but it did hail! Juliette X
