On Saturday 26th September* I will jump out of a perfectly good aeroplane (with an instructor with a parachute strapped to his/her back) on behalf of Poole Hospital's Wish List. Anyone who knows me probably realises that I am mad enough to do this, but it really is going to be terrifying and I'm NERVOUS. It's a Long Way Down... about 10,000ft, they say *gulp*
My reasons for doing this are more than just because I'm one wave short of a shipwreck, namely that over the last couple of years I've had a LOT of treatment at Poole Hospital. First there was the birth of Katelyn, then the neck lumpectomy, which led to the thyroidectomy and two radioactive iodine treatments (not forgetting assorted scans and blood tests), and most recently I've had a dodgy mole removed (twice). Phew!
I'm not quite sure that my national insurance contributions add up to that lot, hence the fundraising!
I would be very VERY grateful if you could sponsor me, and if you do choose to then Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. If you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation - bonus! I also have the old fashioned paper-based sponsorship form available, for those who prefer a pen :)
So please sponsor me nownownow! No hard feelings if you decide not to - the credit crunch is not fun - but thanks for reading either way.
*It was meant to be the 20th, my birthday, but apparently my most recent scar (dodgy mole revisited) won't have healed enough by then!
