WE DIT IT...!!!

Yep after 3 days and 74 miles of walking up and down hills, along pathways and obstructing traffic (or causing cars to bump into each other) the crazy gang of Ben, Martyn, Tony, Russell, myself and Chris (chief blocker of traffic and navigator) are proud to announce that we achieved the challenge put in front of us

 

Within the next few days, once we have all recovered from our injuries, photos will be downloaded onto the just giving website for you all to share our experiences.

 

May we just say a huge thank you to everyone who supported us before, during and after the walk in which we believe to be very close to the target of £5,000 we wanted to raise for our chosen charity, Cancer Research.

 

Huge thanks to many small businesses along the way who provided food, drink and generous donations from their takings,  the YHA at Castleton and the Matlock Bath Hotel for accomodation and most of all the general public who provided us with immense encouragement, especially when the lower half of the body wanted to give up and go home for a cup of tea!

 

With so many highlights during the three days, it would be just about impossible to list them on here however, three things stood out most of all, 1) The amazing views of the peak district 2) The "lump in the throat" personal experiences and stories we were told  from many donators. 3) Tony's impressions, just ask him to do the "Sheep" one!

  

It is still not too late to donate for those who have yet to and if you could see the pain we went through (just look at our feet!) then the pennies have definitely been earned!!  

Currently, we are gathering in all the donations and money raised and once confirmed, we will update this page with our final total....!
