We ride again!  The Just a walk to the beach team is made up of experienced and novice mountain bikers who are going to take part in the "Set to Rise" endurance race.  The team is made up of Jim, Oz, Rob, Steve and in support Bryher (feeding us and holding the torch when things go wrong)   The team will be racing for 12 hours overnight, taking it in turns to tackle the seven mile course over Salisbury Plain on the last weekend of May 2010.

We are raising funds for Jeans for Genes whose work helps children with genetic disorders.  Robert and Catherine the founders of "Just a walk to the beach" son was diagnosed with a Primary Immune disorder at the age of 3 months.  At 18 months, William underwent a life saving Bone Marrow Transplant.  William's condition called Wiskott-Aldrich Syndrome is still being researched with the hope of a less invasive cure.  The PIA, a founding charity of Jeans for Genes are funding research into Gene Therapy to help boys like William look forward to a longer life.
