10,000 feet Tandem Skydive
For our sins, we have agreed to take part in the above event in aid of Mary Stevens Hospice, (Registered Charity No, 517656) on Saturday 15th August 2009. We are doing this to support James Corfield and his chosen charity.
James Corfield is 18 years old and on the 14th of August 2008, the same day as his A Level results, he was diagnosed with testicular cancer. This came as a huge shock and as a result has changed his life forever. His plan originally this year was to be at Worcester university undertaking the first year of his business Business Studies degree and enjoying student life!!!!
In time James will recover and will train back to fitness and put his body to the ultimate challenge by running the London Marathon in 2010. He has had personal experiences with Mary Stevens in the past, his nan had terminal lung cancer several years ago. She spent several very happy weeks in the hospice. The care that they gave to her and his family was exceptional and this is why he has chosen this charity.
Myself, Stevie and Carrie are now commited to doing a 10,000 feet Tandem Skydive on Saturday 15th August 2009 at the British Parachute Schools, Nottingham.
