Hi all, thanks for dropping in. Obviously by any normal person's standards this is some very slack fund-raising that has been left far too late, but I hope those that know me will recognise that, for me, this is positively premature! Hopefully I haven't left it too late and the vague air of panic and desperation will encourage some really positive giving! I'll work on finding some genuinely mortifying pictures of myself to post on here, hopefully becoming more embarrassing the closer we get to the target.
Apparently, donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure and it’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me. Not only do you not have the risk of me losing your money/sponsorship pledge, but the Jigsaw Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
The community-minded dons of HSBC will match every £1 raised up to my £500 target with £1 of their own, so I'd be grateful if you'd make the most of this generous offer and give as much as possible. I would also encourage you all to tell anyone and everyone about this site - Jigsaw are a truly worthy cause who really need every last bit of support to continue and expand the great work that they do. On a personal note, the response I have received from Jigsaw is by far the most positive I have ever got from any charity that I have run for, and I feel privileged to be associated with them.
Thank you so much.
UPDATE, Sunday 26th April, 06:17am - Thank you for all your messages of support, and thank you on behalf of the Jigsaw School for your generosity in helping us to reach our target.
