Update: Anyone who makes a donation on this page can make a suggestion for fancy dress which we will have to wear for the 60k on the day, not only will we suffer from the challenge and lack of training but with your donations we will look stupid at the same time! All donors can make a suggestion and we will follow the most popular.
On May 7 staff from the GVI office in Exeter, UK will be taking part in the annual Just Walk fundraising event in the South Downs. In one day we will be hiking 60k over the English countryside to raise funds for the GVI Charitable Trust.
The GVI Charitable Trust is an international charity working with communities and grassroots organisations around the world to improve facilities, resources and environments by funding education, training and opportunities which would otherwise be denied.
Formed in 2005 the GVI CT has funded educational scholarships, materials and construction in schools in developing countries across Latin America, Africa and Asia. We have funded training and materials to provide sustainable alternative livelihoods in rural communities and initiated sustainable income generation schemes in our projects helping our partners take control of their situations.
Donations to this page will support the GVI Charitable Trust and our work around the world.
