Last year we discussed the possibility of raising money for charity and as we enter the club's third year we felt now was a good time to start with a years worth of events ahead of us. We aim to raise money via promotion of the charity on our website as well as at runs held throughout the year. Leukaemia Research was our chosen charity as it holds so much meaning to several people in the club.
Leukaemia Research is the only charity in the UK dedicated exclusively to researching blood cancers and disorders including leukaemia, Hodgkin's and other lymphomas, and myeloma.
110,000 people, children and adults alike, are living with these cancers today. 24,500 people are newly diagnosed with one of these conditions every year. Leukaemia Research are committed to giving every one of them the best chance of survival.
Thank you for your donation, return for regular updates on our fundraising efforts.
MINI To The Arctic 2008
In September 2008 members of Kent And East Sussex MINI Club plan to make an epic trip up above the Arctic Circle driving our MINI over 2,000 miles to the most northern point of Europe to raise money for Leukaemia Research.
Nordkapp is our destination which sits on the same latitude as Siberia, Greenland and Alaska. Our journey will take us through France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway.
