---------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi,

A family member lost 80% of their hearing a few years ago, as a way to say thank you to RNID who helped I wish to raise money for them.  Since I love cycling why not do something which involves that:

As a result I am cycling from London to Paris (18 - 21 July 2008).

This long weekend challenge links two great European cities, London and Paris, covering around 300km in just 3 days. Encounter historic towns, sleepy villages and rolling countryside en-route. Cycle along wide Parisian boulevards to the finishing line at the city’s most famous landmark, the Eiffel Tower.

DAY 1: Cycle from central London through Surrey with views of South Downs to Newhaven.  Ferry to Dieppe. 98km

DAY 2: Quiet tree lined roads and sleepy Normandy villages to Gournay en Bray.  Some challenging hills to conquer en-route! 80km

DAY 3: Ride from Gournay en Bray to outskirts of Paris. Reach city centre via the famous Bois de Boulogne park.  Finish under Eiffel Tower. 114km.

This will be  very demanding on me physically and I request your support both emotionally and financially so please dig deep and sponsor me generously online.

If you don't have any money then here are some suggestions:

1) Sponsor at least £1. (I'm sure you can find that in your sofa!!)
2) Give up lunch for one day £5
3) Stop smoking/drinking alcohol for a week £20 (I am doing you a favour here) ;)
4) Stay at home and not go out on a Friday/Saturday night at least £30.

Do the above for a month and that will be more then £100.  Who is willing to sponsor me £100+?

Many thanks for your support and see you at the finish line.

Everyone who sponsors me will be sent a unique link to my blog providing information on my progress and thoughts during my training and post event pictures.

I have removed the amount people have sponsored me so if you only wish to donate a token amount of £1 please feel free and no one else will know.

Regards

Kaleem

PS: Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: RNID will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
