On 16 May 2009 a team of Bethany Children's Trust supporters and myself, chair of trustees, climbed UK's highest mountain peak. We took up this challenge to raise money to support projects in 5 African countries, for children affected by extreme poverty, HIV & AIDS. Our aim is to raise £20,000 sponsorship as a team and I am thrilled to say we are pretty close to achieving this! and there is still an opportunity to sponsor us if you have not been able to get to the site before the climb!
So as you can see from the photo We made it!
Thanks to the friendly and professional expertise of Charitytrek whose support and guidance on the day kept us going and the brilliant organisation of Claire Lanham (who pulled this event together) we had an amazing day. Through your encouragement, support and prayers we completed the challenge and we have made some great memories.

Just to remind you; the funds raised through the Ben Nevis challenge will enable BCT to: * Support partner projects with training and guidance in project management and development, to increase impact and enable multiplication; * provide training and information resources to develop child care expertise. Your financial support will be used by our partner projects to bring further transformation to children's lives. For instance £5 could provide 3 hot meals for a child at a lunch club; £30 could give a family 2 rabbits to breed for food and income generation; £65 could pay for surgery for a disabled child and £245 could cover the cost of 1 month's medications for 70 children!
