YEAH!!! I've done it!
I beat my target of 2 and a half hours and came in at 2 hours 19 minutes.
The weather was awful. It rained all day - so hard that at times I wished I had windscreen wipers for my contact lenses! It felt like we were running through rivers when we hit miles 6 and 7.
But it was an amazing day and one that I want to do again. I may not be ready to go the London Marathon just yet, but I was warned that running would get addictive. I was reading Marathon News on Sunday evening planning my next run whilst nursing my little toes & aching knees!
And I would love to say a public thank you to the lady who was handing out fruit pastilles at mile 9 - by the park. They helped boost my energy no end.

I am very proud to have raised money for Leukaemia Research. My Dad beat Lymphoma earlier this year so I was delighted to run for such a great cause. It gave me a real purpose to get out there and get the training done to enable me to run this race.
I set myself a big target of raising £500, so if you haven't yet sponsored me, it's not too late - even £5 will make a big difference.
Oh and by the way, if you want to see the colour of my little toe nails to motivate you to get your credit card out, then you just need to ask. I will be happy to send you a photo :o)
