Who would of thought a year on from the London Marathon I would still be running?!

The challenge I have set myself this year is to take part in a race every month in 2008 - the races will be of various distances ranging from 10k to 1/2 marathon. (maybe even a marathon!)

Planned races are... (some months have two!!)

20th January - Dartford10 (10 miles) = 1hr 47mins (Hilly course)

9th February - Brands Hatch 1/2 marathon = 2hrs 26mins (I thought race tracks were flat?)

30th March - Paddock Wood 1/2 marathon = 2hrs 24mins (Tough run)

27th April - Hasting 5 (5 miles) = 48 mins (Oh I do like to beside the seaside!)

18th May - Darent Valley 10k = 61 mins (Great Kent scenery)

26th May - London 10k = 60 mins (Shocking weather)

15th June - Bluewater 10k = 59 mins (PB but who said there was only one hill and I thought I would be able to do some shopping!)

22nd June - Leeds 10k = 62 mins (slower time but great atmosphere around Leeds)

(13th July - Race for Life at Blackheath 5k =26 min - in hot conditions and bump grass under foot!)

20th July - Great Capital Run 10k = 58 mins (Isabel my niece ran the junior 2k run  and was the 3rd girl home in the 7-11yr age group. Her Dad and I had to keep up the standard by achieving PB's! Paul ran the 10k in 48 mins and I got a new PB! - a family with the running bug!!)

August ???

13th September - Battersea Park 10 miles =

5th October - Great North Run 1/2marathon =

November ???

December ???

Although this is a personal challenge I thought it would be a great oppurtunity to raise money for charity. I have chosen Asthma Uk as my niece has asthma and I suffer from asthma when I come in contact with cats!

Feel free to come along to any race and cheer me on!
