The Animal Cancer Trust is a great charity doing great work in tackling cancer in pets, I know people are going to sit there and go its not a worthy cause yadah yadah yah.....but pets bring so much happiness to peoples lives and do become family members and fighting cancer in animals is not a cause that is widely supported in the UK, so if we can help to alleviate the suffering of a living being.

Caring for animals in religions:

Judasim

Perhaps the Jewish attitude toward animals is best summarized by the statement in Proverbs 12:10, "The righteous person regards the life of his beast." This is the human counterpoint of "The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His creatures." (Ps. 145:9). In Judaism, one who is cruel to animals cannot be regarded as a righteous individual.

Islam

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "While a dog was going round a well and was about to die of thirst, a prostitute saw it and took off her shoe and watered it. So Allah forgave her because of that good deed."

Christianity

 Proverbs 12:10  "A righteous man cares for the needs of his animal"
