Thanks for visiting my Marathon Madness fundraising page!
I am beginning to wonder what I was thinking when I signed up to run the London Marathon in April 2009!! It's not just about running the 26.2 miles, which is going to be tough enough - it is also about the 400 miles of training I need to complete to get me to the start line!!!
Most of you will know how much I love the outdoors, but I am not a natural runner! Training in the cold, wet and dark is not very appealing. Giving up my Friday nights with a bottle of wine to run on Saturday mornings is also a test in itself, but with every pavement I pound, I think of what I am doing it for. I am raising money for Sense International who provide specialist education, training and support to deafblind people, their families and carers in developing countries.
Please, please, please, sponsor me and help me fulfil my promise to raise £2k, which will go towards supporting and educating deafblind children and adults in Latin America, Romania, India and East Africa so that they can communicate, support themselves and become valued members of their communities.
If you would like to find out more about Sense International, please visit their website: www.senseinternational.org.uk
Please pull out your debit card and donate some cash...
Many thanks,
Kate
